Celtic v St Johnstone

Celtic were held to only two goals by Livingston on Wednesday, but the Bhoys had 18 shots on goal and ten corners in that contest and they may get more than a couple against St Johnstone. There have been 24 goals in the last seven matches between these sides, a run which includes a 7-0 Celtic win last season and backing over 3.5 goals looks the bet.

St Mirren v Aberdeen

Aberdeen were crushed by late goals in games against Celtic and Rangers in their latest two SPL fixtures, and although those were disappointing results, it does indicate that the Dons can compete with the division’s top sides. St Mirren have won just one of their last seven matches and they could be heading for defeat against Aberdeen.

Dundee Utd v Hearts

Dundee United need points if they are to avoid the drop, but the visit of Hearts rates a tough test. Both teams have scored in nine of the Jambos last 11 Scottish Premiership matches, and with a draw not ideal for either side, there could be plenty of goalmouth action.

Hibernian v Livingston

Hibs have won just one of their last eight Scottish Premiership matches but they can pick up a much-needed three points at home to Livingston. The World Cup break will have helped Lee Johnson regroup and Livingston’s good fortune may come to an end at Easter Road.
