Football accumulator tips for Monday September 12: Rome rule 9-1 acca

There may be no domestic action taking place on Monday but there are plenty of punting opportunities scattered across Europe.

Top-flight matches from Serie A, La Liga and the Primeira Liga may attract most interest, although there are also second-tier fixtures scheduled in France and Spain.

All bets must be placed by 7.45pm on Monday.

Empoli v Roma

Roma were beaten 4-0 at Udinese in their last Serie A away game but they had drawn at Juventus prior to that and should find the challenge of Empoli considerably easier. The hosts have failed to win any of their opening five league games and that's despite having not yet faced any higher-class opposition.

Almeria v Osasuna

Osasuna have won three of their first four matches in La Liga and are worth backing to avoid defeat at Almeria. Osasuna's only defeat came on the road at Real Betis but Almeria aren't in the same mould as that opponent and have won only once in four outings this term.

Eibar v Granada

Eibar have won their opening two home league games in Spain's second tier but a visit from Granada poses a different test. Both teams have scored in three of Eibar's four matches in the Segunda Division and the trend may continue against their in-form visitors, who have triumphed in three of their first four league matches.

Vizela v Estoril

Vizela have taken only five points from their first five matches in the Primeira Liga but they have played Benfica and Porto in that time. Estoril tend to struggle on their travels and they have won only one of their last 11 away league games.
