Michel Platini and Zinedine Zidane have gone down in French folklore for providing the inspiration for home tournament triumphs and Antoine Griezmann could become the latest Les Bleus idol to deliver on the biggest stage in tonight’s Euro 2016 final against Portugal.

The Stade de France will be jumping at the prospect of France landing a hat-trick of home titles following the heroes of 1984 and 1998 and while the class of 2016 can’t claim to possess that kind of quality they thankfully retain the services of Griezmann.
