Five things we learned from the weekend's football featuring Premier League
Liverpool value in Champions League mark | Steve Bruce deserves more credit
1 Rampant Reds value in other markets with title all but wrapped up
"We're gonna win the league" rang around Anfield at the full-time whistle as Liverpool went 16 points clear with a game in hand after sinking Manchester United 2-0.
The Reds are on the brink of being crowned champions of England and one of the least competitive title races in recent history could present some good betting opportunities.
Jurgen Klopp will not let his side take their foot off the gas until the league is mathematically secured but once that formality is carried out, they can set their sights on a double or even a treble.
They have made the Champions League final two seasons running, winning it last campaign, and their 9-2 outright quote looks overpriced given they are the best team in Europe.
The league is the priority for Liverpool but they showed against United how dominant a force they are and should not be ruled out of any competition.
2 Ondrej Duda is the final piece of Norwich City's attacking puzzle
The odds will tell you Norwich are all but relegated - they are a best-priced 1-6 for the drop - but if City miraculously complete the great escape, new addition Ondrej Duda will surely have a key role to play.
The loanee from Hertha Berlin dazzled on his debut with three shots - one of which led to Steve Cook's handball and the resultant penalty which Teemu Pukki scored - and he completed 56 passes at a success rate of 87.5 per cent in the 1-0 win over Bournemouth.
With Todd Cantwell and Emiliano Buendia on the flanks and Pukki up top, the Canaries have been lacking a creative spark in behind and while it could be a case of too little too late they seem to have found their man.
The Slovakian could be staying in the Premier League with or without Norwich and should become a summer transfer target for many clubs.
3 Steve Bruce is not getting the credit he deserves at Newcastle United
Rated 9-4 ante-post, Newcastle were among the favourites for Premier League relegation at the start of the campaign. Five months on and they are 8-1 in the same market and seven points clear of the drop zone after a 1-0 win at home to Chelsea.
That success embodied everything about the Magpies for which Rafael Benitez was constantly heralded but Steve Bruce barely receives a crumb of credit.
They were resilient at the back, saw only 30 per cent of the ball and came away with maximum points thanks to a scrappy injury-time goal.
At this stage last season they were 17th and fighting for their lives but Bruce has engineered some breathing space and made St James' Park a tough venue to visit and all while dealing with a growing absentee list.
4 Erling Braut Haaland could be the perfect fit at Borussia Dortmund
No weekend review would be complete without mention of Erling Braut Haaland.
The Norwegian wonderkid came off the bench in Borussia Dortmund's game with Augsburg after 56 minutes with his side 3-1 down. Only 23 minutes later the former Salzburg striker had marked his debut with his sixth hat-trick of the season to seal an emphatic
5-3 victory.
Haaland's pace, movement and confidence is reminiscent of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang donning the black-and-yellow jersey and he already looks a perfect fit at the Bundesliga outfit.
5 Rising Pompey value for Sky Bet League One promotion
Portsmouth fans have been waiting for their side to string together results and they have finally hit a rich vein of form.
Their win at Bolton on Saturday - albeit a somewhat fortunate 1-0 success - was their fourth on the spin in all competitions and fourth in their last six league encounters.
After navigating EFL Trophy and FA Cup ties, they face a crunch February which features games with Sunderland and Coventry and wins in those games could see their promotion price plummet.
With the likes of Ellis Harrison and John Marquis clicking into gear, they may be worth a bet now at 11-4 to go up from Sky Bet League One.
