It has been a busy week of European action for Irish clubs, who return to domestic duty in the FAI Cup this weekend.
Bohemians, who came within inches of taking home the trophy last year, are worth backing to go one better this season.
They face Finn Harps on Friday and while Harps are no back numbers, they have been pretty dire in the league and Bohs may be prioritising a cup run to some extent.
They got the scent of what glory would mean last year but, perhaps more importantly, they look unlikely to make the top four in the league so a cup success could be their only route into European competition next season.
Bohs have been busier than any team in the transfer market recently and they should improve as the cup progresses.
Also on Friday night, Athlone are also worth a small interest to win at Drogheda. Town stunned Longford in the league before nearly pinching a deserved result against Galway. They are clearly improving while Drogheda may be a tad complacent.
On Sunday Wexford, who have some decent players, are worth supporting to win at Sligo, who were in action against Motherwell in the Europa Conference League last night.
