Tuesday's betting preview
Lincoln have been struggling to pull themselves away from the League One relegation scrap but they can make a decisive move by registering a home win over fourth-bottom Morecambe.
It has been a tough season for Lincoln, who were promotion contenders for much of the 2020-21 campaign.
However, they have done some decent January business and are seeing an immediate return on their investment in centre-forward John Marquis.
The 29-year-old has scored in three successive games since joining from Portsmouth and seems to have provided the missing link to an attack blessed by the pace of Morgan Whittaker and Anthony Scully.
Lincoln need to tighten up at the back and are missing centre-back Joe Walsh, but their exciting attack should give them the edge over Morecambe, who were devastated to concede an injury-time goal in Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to Bolton.
The Shrimps impressed in dreadful conditions against the Trotters but they haven't won on the road in six attempts and could be left empty-handed.
Gillingham have shown considerable improvement in their opening two matches under new manager Neil Harris and they can register a vital victory over mid-table Cambridge.
The lowly Gills posted a scrappy 1-0 success at home to Crewe last Tuesday and they performed even better in a harsh 1-0 loss at Ipswich on Saturday.
Harris's outfit were the better side for long periods against Ipswich and they may have better luck against Cambridge, who are starting to look a little weary after a busy run of games.
Mark Bonner's side exited the FA Cup with a 3-0 loss at home to Luton on Saturday and they could be heading for a third successive defeat.
League One highflyers MK Dons have been putting together a good run and can make it six wins in seven by beating relegation-threatened Fleetwood.
The Dons have won three away games on the trot and look too strong for the Cod Army, who have gone four matches without a win.
Tranmere have held second place in League Two for the last month and they can further cement the position with a win over Swindon.
Rovers are chasing a seventh win in eight home league games, while out-of-sorts Swindon have posted one victory in seven since New Year's Day.
