Kick-offs from 5pm Thursday

Denmark have recovered strongly from a slow start to World Cup qualifying and can take a big step towards clinching a top-two finish in Group E by defeating Montenegro in Podgorica.

With two fixtures left Poland hold a three-point lead in the section, while Montenegro and Denmark are locked together on 16 points.

It is highly likely that they are playing for second place and the Danes should be feeling confident after putting an excellent run together.

Age Hareide's side have taken 13 points from their last five games and were hugely impressive last month, securing handsome victories at home to Poland (4-0) and away to Armenia (4-1).

Their star player, Christian Eriksen, has netted in four of their last five qualifiers and goes into the match with confidence after a series of impressive performances for Tottenham in the Premier League.

Montenegro's leading light, Stevan Jovetic, scored the only goal of last month's important 1-0 victory at home to Romania but has not been hitting the heights at club level with Monaco, scoring once of four appearances this season.

Jovetic hasn't completed a full match for his club this term and, if he isn't at his best, Montenegro's qualification hopes are likely to recede.

Uruguay are just one victory away from sealing a berth at Russia 2018 but look poor-value odds-on favourites to defeat South American basement boys Venezuela in San Cristobal.

Inconsistent away results have been the problem for Uruguay, who have collected just eight points from eight road trips.

And they cannot expect an easy ride against the Vinotinto, who are playing with heart despite their qualification hopes disappearing a long time ago.

The Venezuelans achieved draws at home to Colombia (0-0) and away to Argentina (1-1) last month and look overpriced to avoid defeat in their last home match of the campaign.

Sixth-placed Chile need a strong finish to save themselves but should stay in qualification contention by posting a comfortable home win over Ecuador.

Chile's star player – Alexis Sanchez – is playing a lot better than a month ago and can help them ease to victory over poor travellers Ecuador, who have lost five of their eight away matches.
