National League playoff eliminator
BT Sport 1, 7.45pm Thursday

Neither Boreham Wood nor AFC Fylde have been Football League clubs in their lifetime and bookmakers don't expect that to change this season.

By virtue of finishing fourth and seventh the pair face off at Meadow Park with the winner facing a semi-final at Sutton United, who finished third in the table, on Sunday.

There wasn't much to separate the sides over the course of 46 games as the hosts finished just two points above the Coasters and there could be little between them again in Thursday's eliminator.

The layers certainly believe that to be the case, making Boreham Wood marginal favourites with the bonus of home advantage, but banking on the match going to extra-time could prove to be the best strategy.

Boreham Wood were 1-0 victors when the sides met at Meadow Park in December but they were fortunate not to concede a leveller as Fylde created numerous chances and were indebted to goalkeeper Grant Smith for preserving that slender advantage.

August's meeting between the sides ended in a 2-2 draw and another stalemate between two well-matched sided looks on the cards.
