It has been a tough start to the season for Ingolstadt and their fortunes may not improve when they face Eintracht Frankfurt tonight.

Markus Kauczinski’s team could have found themselves in relegation trouble at the end of last season after taking just one point from their final five matches and they have hardly started the new campaign with a head of steam.

One point from three matches is a poor return and Ingolstadt also needed penalties to get past second-division Erzgebirge Aue in the first round of the DFB Cup.
