Preview
Leicester's shaky start to the Premier League season continued with a 2-1 defeat at Brighton on Sunday and their EFL Cup challenge could fall at the first hurdle with a defeat to Millwall at the Den.
Millwall are 18th in the Championship with one win, five draws and two defeats but they should be looking forward to taking on the Foxes, who they defeated 1-0 in an FA Cup fifth-round tie in south London in February 2017 despite the 52nd-minute dismissal of defender Jake Cooper.
The Lions were a League One side at the time and have added better players since establishing themselves in the Championship, although Cooper remains on their books and will hope to make a more positive contribution.
It should be a strong Millwall side, similar to the one which drew 1-1 at home to Coventry at the weekend, but there are likely to be changes to the Leicester line up as Brendan Rodgers looks to guard against fatigue among his first-choice players.
The trip to Millwall is Leicester's fourth match in 12 days and they have a further three games to squeeze in before the October international break.
Rodgers has some good players in reserve but relies a lot on his first-choice midfield, Youri Tielemans and Wilfred Ndidi, and if either or both are left out, Millwall will have a much better chance of springing a surprise.
Across the capital, Wimbledon have been one of the most entertaining teams in League One with their eight matches generating 28 goals - the highest in the division - and they could be involved in a high-scoring affair when taking on Arsenal at the Emirates.
The Gunners are hot favourites to advance without the need of a penalty shootout and should get the job done but a clean sheet may elude them against the Wombles, who have scored 12 goals in their last four fixtures.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has a strong squad to pick from and will make wholesale changes to ensure that first-team regulars are fresh for Sunday's north London derby at home to Tottenham.
However, there are always risks attached to using players who have not seen much action and the Gunners may have to overcome the odd setback before sealing a place in the next round.
