Dumbarton v Inverness
BBC Alba, 4.15pm Saturday

Dumbarton have been written off by bookmakers for the Scottish Challenge Cup final in Perth, but it’s hard to see why.

The Sons are competing in their first cup final for 121 years and the whole town is up for it, in contrast to Inverness, who have endured a dramatic fall from grace since they won the Scottish Cup three years ago.

Stevie Aitken is one of the most underrated managers in Scotland and it has been a great feat for him to keep a team with the meagre resources of Dumbarton in Scotland’s second tier for so long.

There are only four points between the teams in the Ladbrokes Championship and Dumbarton have some battle-hardened campaigners who will fancy this clash.
