West Brom's Championship promotion bid is alive and well thanks to seven points from three December matches but the Baggies are not certain to claim a victory when they visit Derby.

Valerien Ismael's men began the month with wins over Coventry and Reading but a goalless draw against Barnsley last time out, a match in which they mustered just three shots on target, should concern any punter thinking of taking odds-on about the visitors.

Derby's off-field problems have been well documented and the Rams look destined for relegation thanks to a 21-point deduction. However, they continue to perform with credit on the pitch, particularly at Pride Park, where they have picked up 17 points and lost just two matches.

The hosts have struggled with Covid outbreaks which have meant that they haven't played since beating Blackpool on December 11 but manager Wayne Rooney will hope to have most of his squad back and the Rams can be taken to avoid defeat.
