Team news

Derby
Curtis Davies (Achilles) is a long-term absentee.

Bournemouth
New signing Jack Wilshere could feature but Junior Stanislas (ankle) is out and Arnaut Danjuma (hamstring) has not featured since November.

Match preview

Championship promotion-chasers Bournemouth are licking their wounds after collecting one point from home games against Millwall (drew 1-1) and Luton (lost 1-0) but they can respond with a victory over struggling Derby.

Wayne Rooney was getting plenty of plaudits during his spell as Derby's interim manager but reality hit home in his first match as permanent boss as the Rams lost 1-0 at home to relegation rivals Rotherham.

Rooney pulled no punches in his post-match interview, admitting his team were second best, and the 35-year-old's tactical and man-management skills will be severely tested over the next few months because Derby look far from certain to get out of the bottom three.

County are the lowest scorers in the division with 14 goals in 23 games and their lack of firepower could play into the hands of the Cherries, who look solid favourites to pick up a vital victory.

Key stat

Bournemouth have lost only one of their last seven away fixtures.
