Defensively-minded MK Dons should pip Lincoln to top spot

Accrington came from 11 points off the pace at Christmas to complete one of the greatest achievements in League Two history last season, but the strength of the current top two makes another dramatic turnaround in the basement unlikely.

Just one point separates pacesetters Lincoln and MK Dons, who are five clear of Colchester in third, and the gulf between that devastating duo and the chasing pack looks too big to bridge.

Dons, advised each-way at 13-2 pre-season in The Big Kick-Off, are slightly favoured by most bookmakers having dropped just five points in their last 11 league encounters.
