Back both teams to score in what looks a crunch clash in the scrap for Serie A survival at Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.

Hosts Chievo and visitors Sassuolo are both hovering above the relegation places and, while far from safe, they should be feeling less pressure after recent results mean they are not in immediate danger of dropping into the bottom three.

On Saturday, Chievo beat Sampdoria 2-1 in front of their faithful and while they lost 1-0 to relegation rivals Verona in their shared stadium last month, they will surely be happy about scoring two in defeat at Milan in between.

Rolando Maran’s men beat Cagliari 2-1 at the Bentegodi in February too.

Midfielders Lucas Castro and Peparim Hetemaj netted for Chievo against Samp but eight-goal Roberto Inglese is their chief threat. Inglese notched at the San Siro and also in the win over Cagliari.

Sassuolo are unbeaten in three league games and must be buzzing about holding second-placed Napoli to a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Before the international break, Giuseppi Iachini’s charges won 2-1 at Udinese after drawing 1-1 at home to fellow strugglers Spal. During the international break, a 3-0 home friendly win over Serie C outfit Bassano Virtus confirmed their current well-being.

While Sassuolo are spreading the goals across their forward line, they are also continuing to concede regularly with only one clean sheet in ten league games.

It is a similar story for Chievo. They have not enjoyed a shutout for 13 Serie A outings.
