Club Brugge v Porto

One or both teams not to score
3pts 5-4 Betfair

Preview

Club Brugge are already assured of a place in the Champions League last 16 after a brilliant start to their campaign, taking ten points from four matches in Group B and keeping clean sheets in all four of them.

The Belgians drew 0-0 at Atletico Madrid on matchday four and given their defensive strength it is surprising to see odds of 5-4 about one or both teams failing to score in their home fixture against Porto.

The visitors, second in the group standings on six points, could still pip Brugge to top spot despite a 4-0 home defeat in their first meeting, so a draw would be an excellent result for the hosts and a low-scoring contest looks likely.

Both teams have scored in only one of Brugge's last 12 matches in all competitions while Porto had kept four clean sheets in a row before their 1-0 home defeat to Benfica in the Primeira Liga last weekend.

Inter v Viktoria Plzen

Where to watch

BT Sport 1, 5.45pm Wednesday

Best bet

Over 1.5 first-half goals
1pt 5-4 Coral, Ladbrokes

Preview

An injury-time goal from Robert Lewandowski denied Inter victory over Barcelona at Camp Nou on matchday four but that 3-3 draw has virtually guaranteed the Nerazzurri's qualification from Group C.

The Milan outfit are 1-25 to progress alongside Bayern Munich after taking four points from their two scraps with Barca and they should seal progress with a straightforward home win over Viktoria Plzen.

The Czechs have struggled against their illustrious group opponents, losing all four of their games this season and conceding 16 goals.

It has not taken long for the Plzen defence to crumble as they fell behind in the 13th minute away to Barca, the 20th minute in the 2-0 home defeat to Inter, and trailed 3-0 and 4-0 at half-time in their two meetings with Bayern.

Inter were 2-0 up against Fiorentina inside 15 minutes at the weekend and they can contribute to another lively start.

Atletico Madrid v Bayer Leverkusen

Where to watch

BT Sport 7, 8pm Wednesday

Best bet

Atletico Madrid to win to nil
2pts 2-1 general

Preview

Atletico Madrid have struggled to impose themselves on Group B of the Champions League but they can keep alive their qualification hopes with a home win over injury-hit Bayer Leverkusen.

Atleti won their opening game in dramatic fashion, beating ten-man Porto 2-1 with all three goals coming in injury-time, but 2-0 defeats at Leverkusen and Club Brugge, as well as a goalless draw at home to the Belgians, have left them needing a strong finish to the campaign.

Since the defeat at Brugge, Diego Simeone's men are unbeaten in five matches in all competitions, conceding just three times during that run, and they are worth backing to come good with a victory to nil against Leverkusen.

Atletico shipped only two goals in four knockout games against Manchester United and Manchester City last season and Leverkusen, already missing the injured Karim Bellarabi, Sardar Azmoun and Florian Wirtz, also have a fitness doubt over star striker Patrik Schick.

Barcelona v Bayern Munich

Where to watch

BT Sport 5, 8pm Wednesday

Best bet

Jamal Musiala first goalscorer
1pt each-way 11-1 Betfair, Paddy Power

Preview

Barcelona are on the brink of demotion to the Europa League for a second season running and Bayern Munich will be keen to seal the Catalans' fate at Camp Nou.

Bayern have won all four of their Group C games while Barca's chances of joining them in the last 16 look to have been scuppered by an acrimonious 1-0 defeat at Inter and a 3-3 draw in the return fixture.

This is the fifth Champions League meeting between these powerhouses in the past four seasons and Bayern have won the previous four 2-0, 3-0, 3-0 and 8-2.

One of their goalscorers in last season's home victory over Barca was youngster Jamal Musiala, who looks a tempting each-way bet to notch against the desperate hosts. Musiala, likely to start in the number-ten role, has scored nine goals in 16 club appearances this term, finding the net in each of his last two outings.

Eintracht Frankfurt v Marseille

Where to watch

BT Sport 6, 8pm Wednesday

Best bet

Eintracht Frankfurt
2pts 13-10 Betfair, Betfred

Preview

After a run of 16 defeats in 17 Champions League games, Marseille recorded back-to-back victories over Sporting on matchdays three and four to enhance their hopes of reaching the last 16.

However, the French side benefited from some shambolic goalkeeping and ill discipline from the Portuguese and last season's Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt may not be so generous.

They beat Marseille 1-0 on matchday two, racking up seven shots on target despite having only 39 per cent of possession, and since a 3-2 defeat at Tottenham, where they played the final half-hour with ten men, they have beaten Bayer Leverkusen 5-1 and Borussia Monchengladbach 3-1 in the Bundesliga.

Marseille, in contrast, have lost their last three matches in Ligue 1, with a home defeat to lowly Ajaccio followed by 1-0 losses to PSG and Lens, and they could suffer a damaging setback on their trip to Frankfurt.
