Preview

Bayer Leverkusen have picked up four points from five Champions League Group B matches and they look uneasy favourites on matchday six against Club Brugge, who are aiming to pip Porto to top spot in the section.

The Belgians were thumped 4-0 at home by their Portuguese rivals last time out but that was their first setback of an impressive campaign which began with three victories to nil and a goalless draw at Atletico Madrid.

Leverkusen lost 2-0 and 3-0 to Porto on matchdays three and four before drawing 2-2 at Atleti, who missed a 99th-minute penalty, so qualification for the Europa League is the best they can manage now.

Xabi Alonso's men are also struggling in the Bundesliga, having won only two of their first 12 games this term, and Brugge may well trouble a home defence who have conceded 20 goals in their last eight matches in all competitions.

Porto v Atletico Madrid

Where to watch

BT Sport 1, 5.45pm Tuesday

Best bet

Porto
2pts 6-4 Betfair, Hills

Preview

Atletico Madrid's lacklustre Champions League campaign was epitomised by Yannick Carrasco's penalty miss nine minutes into injury time against Bayer Leverkusen on matchday five and Diego Simeone's side may struggle to pick themselves up for a tough trip to Porto.

The 2-2 draw with Leverkusen ended Atletico's hopes of reaching the last 16 while Porto's 4-0 victory at Group B leaders Club Brugge enhanced their chances of winning the section.

Sergio Conceicao's side are on a roll in Europe having claimed 2-0 and 3-0 wins over Leverkusen on matchdays three and four, and they can avenge a dramatic opening defeat at Atleti.

Reduced to ten men, Porto lost 2-1 in Madrid on matchday one with all three goals coming in injury time and they are worth backing to win the return fixture against Atletico, who suffered a shock 3-2 La Liga defeat at Cadiz on Saturday, battling back from 2-0 down before conceding a 99th-minute goal.

Bayern Munich v Inter

Where to watch

BT Sport 5, 8pm Tuesday

Best bet

Nicolo Barella to score first
1pt each-way 33-1 bet365

Preview

Bayern Munich and Inter have already secured qualification for the last 16 at the expense of fellow Group C heavyweights Barcelona so there is little riding on their matchday-six clash at the Allianz Arena.

Group winners Bayern are long odds-on to make it six wins out of six – they would become the first club to complete a perfect Champions League group-stage campaign on three occasions – but centre-back Matthijs de Ligt may join Lucas Hernandez, Manuel Neuer, Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane on their list of injury absentees.

The German champions eased to a 2-0 win over Inter at San Siro on matchday one and have hit their stride in the Bundesliga, winning their last three home games 4-0, 5-0 and 6-2.

However, they may not be at their sharpest in this dead rubber and Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella, who has scored four goals in his last five appearances – including one in the 3-3 draw at Barca – is an eye-catching price in the first-scorer market.

Sporting v Eintracht Frankfurt

Where to watch

BT Sport 7, 8pm Tuesday

Best bet

Draw
1pt 5-2 Betfred

Preview

Just two points separate the four teams in Group D going into the final round of fixtures and a tense encounter is expected in Lisbon, where Sporting host Eintracht Frankfurt.

Both have seven points from five matches but Sporting have the advantage thanks to their 3-0 win in Frankfurt on matchday one so they just have to avoid defeat in order to reach the last 16.

Since that opening loss to Sporting, Eintracht have been involved in four competitive contests, beating Marseille 1-0 away and 2-1 at home either side of a 0-0 draw and a 3-2 defeat to Tottenham.

Frankfurt's four-match winning streak in all competitions was ended by a 2-1 loss at home to Borussia Dortmund on Saturday while Sporting suffered a shock 1-0 defeat away to Arouca but they are a streetwise side who should be backed to dig in and claim the draw they require to progress.

Viktoria Plzen v Barcelona

Where to watch

BT Sport 6, 8pm Tuesday

Best bet

Barcelona-Barcelona double result
3pts 20-23 Coral

Preview

Barcelona have enjoyed some glorious European nights in their illustrious history but a matchday-six trip to Viktoria Plzen is unlikely to live long in the memory of their supporters.

Having taken just one point from four matches against Bayern Munich and Inter, Barca are guaranteed to finish third in Group C, meaning a place in the Europa League for the second season running.

Xavi and his players can take some solace from their impressive results in La Liga although they needed a 93rd-minute goal from Robert Lewandowski to see off Valencia on Saturday, recording their tenth win in 12 league games.

Barca should not have to wait that long to break through against their Czech hosts, who have been predictably outclassed after a brutal group draw. Plzen have lost all five of their Group C matches, conceding 13 first-half goals, so the Barca-Barca double result looks the best bet.
