Tottenham drifted out to 9-2 to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages after a nightmare start of one point from three matches but Mauricio Pochettino's men head to Barcelona knowing their destiny remains in their own hands.

Spurs, now 13-8 with Betway to make the last 16, need to win at Camp Nou or match Inter's result at home to PSV Eindhoven, otherwise it will be the Europa League for the London outfit in 2019.

Ordinarily, winning away to Barcelona would probably prove beyond Spurs.

The Catalans have lost only once, away to Roma, in their last 16 Champions League matches and are unbeaten in 28 home European contests since September 2013. But it will be not be a normal Barcelona side in action.

Barca, having qualified and topped the group, are set to rest a host of stars, although boss Ernesto Valverde has not ruled Lionel Messi out of the game.

"When they see the team, they will see if Messi is there," said Valverde to tease punters and Spurs fans alike.

Premier League leaders Liverpool need to beat Napoli 1-0 or by two clear goals at Anfield to be certain of a place in the last 16 and Jurgen Klopp's side are generally available at 4-5 to qualify.
