Monaco are second-bottom in Ligue 1 and without a win since the opening day of the season, but a trip to Club Brugge could spark a change in their fortunes.

Thierry Henry’s first game in charge ended in defeat at Strasbourg on Saturday, their fifth successive loss, but his arrival should soon revive a side brimming with talent.

A raft of high-profile summer departures doesn’t make things any easier for Henry, nor does Radamel Falcao being sidelined, but Stevan Jovetic is experienced enough to cause Brugge problems.

Both sides have been outclassed by group heavyweights Dortmund and Atletico and there’s little to separate them.

But Brugge have taken a recent dip in form with one win in their last five games and Friday’s 1-1 draw at home to Waasland-Beveren shows they are operating below their best.
