Champions League Group F
BT Sport Extra, 8pm Thursday

Lyon have gained Manchester City’s respect after a pair of top-notch performances against the Premier League champions but they have dropped too many points against the lesser lights in the group and qualification could slip through their fingers with a defeat in Kiev.

Uefa have moved the match from Kharkiv to Kiev due to the ongoing problems in eastern Ukraine but that should not unduly impact on Shakhtar, who have not played at their natural home (the Donbass Arena in Donetsk) since 2014.

Shakhtar stayed in contention when Taison’s injury-time goal gave them a 3-2 victory away to Hoffenheim on matchday five and they look value odds-against favourites to topple Lyon, who have made a slow start to December – drawing 2-2 in Lille and losing 2-0 at home to Rennes.
