Champions League betting reaction: City 11-4 to go one better next season

Manchester City are 11-4 with bet365 to win the 2021-22 Champions League after falling at the last hurdle in the final of this season's competition against Chelsea.

Targeting their first ever Champions League title, Pep Guardiola's Citizens were beaten 1-0 by Chelsea in Porto with Kai Havertz scoring the decisive goal after 42 minutes.

Three of the top four clubs in the outright betting for next season's Champions League are from the Premier League with holders Chelsea 8-1 to defend their title.

Liverpool, who won the competition in the 2018-19 campaign, can also be backed at 8-1 while 2020 winners Bayern Munich are second favourites at 5-1.

Manchester United lost on penalties to Villarreal in Wednesday's Europa League final but will be playing Champions League football next term and are 10-1 to go all the way.

Thomas Tuchel won his first major European trophy with Chelsea on Saturday and his former side Paris Saint-German, who he led to the final last year, are 12-1 to lift the trophy next season as are La Liga giants Barcelona.
