Semi-final preview

Celtic ran out comfortable 2-0 victors over Kilmarnock in the league last week and there is no reason to suspect the outcome of their League Cup semi-final on Saturday will be any different.

The Bhoys had 79 per cent of possession, fired off 21 shots and limited Killie to just two efforts on goal - both of which were off target - last week and they could have won by an even greater margin.

Of course, Saturday's semi-final will be at Hampden rather than Parkhead, but that shouldn't stop Ange Postecoglou’s side who have won their two league games against Killie this season by a 7-0 aggregate scoreline.

The Bhoys are of interest on the handicap but backing them to win to nil looks the best wager.

Killie have scored only nine goals in their last ten Scottish Premiership matches, and even if they manage to frustrate Celtic early on, the Bhoys should eventually break through.
