Celtic can keep their qualification hopes alive with Rosenborg victory
Big gamble on Bhoys unlikely to go astray
Europa League | Group B
BT Sport 3, 5.55pm Thursday
Celtic have battled back from a slow start to the Europa League and they can keep their knockout stage qualification hopes alive by beating basement boys Rosenborg in Trondheim.
There has been a big gamble on the Bhoys and with good reason because their opponents are pointless after four games and preparing to send out an understrength team.
Rosenborg were crowned Norwegian champions earlier this month and are focusing on completing a domestic double by beating Stromsgodset in Sunday's Norwegian Cup final.
Celtic are also just three days away from a final – they take on Aberdeen in the Betfred Cup showpiece on Sunday – but their top priority is to try to extend their European adventure into 2019.
They have been well backed but still look a rock-solid wager.
