Cavani can be a force for Uruguay against Brazil
PSG striker should flourish in a central role
The top two in the South American section of World Cup qualifying meet in Montevideo on Thursday and it could be a big night for Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani against Brazil.
The Paris St-Germain hotshot has scored 27 goals in 28 matches for the French club this season and he should be the focal point of the Uruguayan attack as Barcelona's Luis Suarez is suspended.
Cavani has found the net five times in his last four internationals and he can help provide the Brazilians with a tough test under their new manager Tite.
Real Madrid's Casemiro returns for Brazil after missing the last four internationals and Liverpool pair Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho were included in the starting line-up which was announced on Tuesday.
Brazil, without injured striker Gabriel Jesus, have not conceded in their last five matches, but Cavani can provide them with plenty of problems and the confident striker should be backed to find the net in what could be an open game.
Peru are notoriously poor travellers, but they have improved lately with victories in Bolivia and Paraguay and a spirited display in a 2-1 defeat in Chile.
They should be able to see off Venezuela, who have won just one of their 12 qualifiers and conceded 29 goals in those outings.
