Goals have been hard to come by for Fortuna Dusseldorf since they lost both Dodi Lukebakio and Benito Raman last summer and their lack of quality up top showed in their 0-0 draw with Paderborn last week.

The home clash with the league's basement boys was the ideal opportunity to take three points and start to string together positive results but they fluffed their lines.

And their away form has been so poor it is difficult to envisage anything but a Dusseldorf defeat in Cologne. The visitors have won only two of their 13 away matches in the Bundesliga this season and could not even take the spoils in a trip to fourth-tier Saarbrucken in the DFB Pokal in early March.

As for Cologne, they have seen an excellent turnaround in form since mid-December, winning eight of their last 12 games to fly up the standings from the fringes of the relegation places to a comfortable mid-table position.

Their direct, long-ball approach has helped them outwit the likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Freiburg, Hertha Berlin and Schalke, who they have beaten by an aggregate scoreline of 14-0 as part of their resurgence. They look like a solid bet to win this clash.
