Hamburg made a mess of their attempts to return to the Bundesliga at the first time of asking last season and they haven't made a great start in their bid to escape Bundesliga 2 this time around either.

A disappointing 1-1 home draw with Darmstadt was not the opening result Dieter Hecking's men wanted and things are unlikely to be any easier in this contest.

Nuremberg are still smarting following their relegation from the top flight last season and although it was a miserable campaign which saw them garner just three wins, they will have promotion aspirations of their own.

They got off to a perfect start by winning 1-0 at Dynamo Dresden and will fancy their chances of making it two from two.

They are just favourites to do so but it may be wise to keep the draw on your side.

There's at lot at stake for the promotion rivals and Hamburg are likely to approach this game desperate not to lose any more ground to the sides who are already above them.

Hamburg ran out 1-0 winners when the teams met in the German Cup in February and a similarly close contest can be expected.
