Bromley could pile the pain on Hartlepool

National League debutants Hartlepool have struggled to adapt to the competitiveness of the division following their relegation from Sky Bet League Two and their woes may continue when they travel to unbeaten Bromley.

The underachieving Pools are still waiting for their first win of the campaign and after four matches the signs are concerning.

Craig Harrison’s men have suffered defeats against Dover and part-time Maidenhead, while being held to draws by Macclesfield and Chester, and the challenge of Bromley may prove their toughest test yet.

The Ravens secured a top-half finish last term and they have lost just four of their last 16 league matches at the Courage Stadium.

The hosts are yet to taste defeat this term from their opening four games, conceding just twice in the process, and their 6-1 humbling of Leyton Orient suggests they may be better prepared for the National League constraints than visiting Pools.

League leaders Aldershot dropped their first points of the campaign at Maidstone in midweek but they can resume the winning thread on their trip to Boreham Wood.

A last-minute equaliser ended their 100 per cent record but they dominated the match with 60 per cent possession and won the shot count 14-6.

The hosts have won their last two matches in fine style against Torquay (4-2) and Solihull (4-1) but on early evidence they look two of the weakest sides in the division and the Shots should show they are a class above.
