Team news

Boston
Midfielders Andi Thanoj (groin) and Brad Abbott (suspension) should be the non-league side's only absentees.

Rochdale
Injured contingent Calvin Andrew, Paul McShane, Oliver Rathbone and Jordan Williams have been missing since November and Tyler Magloire, Jim McNulty and Stephen Dooley are long-term absentees.

Match preview

Boston have been languishing in the National League North since their demotion in 2007 but they can set up a plum FA Cup third-round tie at home to Newcastle by upsetting Sky Bet League One Rochdale at York Street.

When the second-round draw was made it looked a tough task for Boston to travel to Rochdale and face a side three tiers above them.

But Dale went into the tie without several injured players and were fortunate to escape with a 0-0 draw and a replay.

The League One strugglers get a second bite at the cherry but their injury problems remain severe and they look there for the taking.

Key stat

Boston are unbeaten in their last eight home games.
