Bookmakers split over Lukaku's likely impact
United's new striker evens to score 17 league goals
Romelu Lukaku has completed his big-money transfer from Everton to Manchester United and bookmakers disagree on his likely Premier League impact at Old Trafford next season.
Some layers have set Lukaku's expected goals line at around the 20 mark but Coral are evens the Belgian manages to score at least 17 top-flight goals for Jose Mourinho's side.
Lukaku has beaten that target in each of his last two campaigns for Everton, scoring 18 goals in the 2015-16 season and 25 in the 2016-17 term. The 24-year-old is generally available at 9-2 for the Golden Boot - a market where he was placed in 2015 and 2016 when losing out to both occasions to current 3-1 favourite Harry Kane.
Those who remain unconvinced by Lukaku's talents can take bet365's 11-10 that he scores fewer than 20 Premier League goals and he is 12-1 with the same firm to notch at least three times against Everton next season.
Lukaku is 20-1 with Betfred to be named PFA Player of the Year and 25-1 to claim the Champions League Golden Boot, while United are 7-2 second favourites for Premier League glory.
Wayne Rooney headed in the opposite direction to Lukaku in a separate deal and Hills have opened a market on who will be Everton's captain for their opening fixture against Stoke at Goodison Park on August 12.
Ashley Williams is 9-4 to wear the armband from 5-2 Rooney with current club captain Phil Jagielka a 5-1 shot.
Stoke's starting 11 for that fixture next month may not include maverick Mark Arnautovic after the Austrian handed in a transfer request amid reports of a bid from West Ham.
The Potters are 15-2 to be relegated and City boss Mark Hughes is 10-1 with Hills to be the first Premier League manager to leave his position.
