Belgian Jupiler League, 5pm Thursday

Club Brugge are a clear second in the Belgian Pro League but they can't afford to be complacent when they make the short trip to face basement boys Lokeren.

The Tricolores have collected just two points on the road all season, but are a different proposition at home, where they have lost only two of their last ten engagements in all competitions.

Reigning and 15-times league champions Club Brugge will have to find some consistency if they are to mount a challenge to Genk when the division splits after the 30 matches in the regular season.

They haven't won on their travels in the league for seven matches and were turned over 2-1 by lowly Waasland-Beveren earlier this month.

That should give Lokeren a glimmer of hope considering the form they're in. Their last two home matches produced a 2-0 win over St Truiden and a 2-2 draw with Gent - both top-half sides - and that is good enough to suggest they are value to secure a positive result.

Brugge have historically had the upper hand in this encounter, with seven wins in the last eight meetings between the clubs.

They arrive following a 5-1 thumping of Antwerp on Sunday which will give the champions a confidence boost. But they had failed to score in their previous two matches, so there is no guarantee the Brugge brigade will turn up in such potent form.

Recommendation
Lokeren or draw double chance
