Basel gained their seventh consecutive Swiss Super League title by 14 points last season and they should claim an early advantage in the 2016-17 race with victory over Young Boys at St Jakob-Park.

The competition in Swiss football is scarce and Young Boys, who were clear runners-up last season, finished 15 points ahead of third-placed Luzern.

Basel achieved their highest Super League points total for 12 years last campaign and their dominance in Swiss football looks to be getting stronger.
