Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool failed to beat West Brom at Anfield last season despite bossing just about every statistical department worth measuring, and today’s clash could conceivably turn into another afternoon of frustration for the German coach.
When the sides met last term Liverpool racked up 642 passes compared to West Brom’s 166, had 28 efforts on goal to the Baggies’ four and bossed the possession percentage 70-30, yet the most significant stat was the final score: 2-2.
