All games BT Sport Extra, 7.45pm Tuesday

Apoel v Dortmund
Apoel have already been taken apart by Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Kane and now a third striker in Group H could fill his boots against the Cypriot whipping boys.

Ronaldo helped himself to a brace in Real Madrid’s 3-0 win at the Bernabeu and hat-trick hero Kane took the match ball home from Nicosia.

Apoel have not been totally outclassed but at key moments their defence has been found wanting which is dangerous when Borussia Dortmund possess the firepower of electric forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is worth backing to match Ronaldo’s two-goal haul.

Aubameyang, top goalscorer in the Bundesliga last season, has failed to notch in only three matches in all competitions this season and has managed at least two goals in three of his eight league outings.

Dortmund need to win and should attack from minute one.

Recommendation
P-E Aubameyang to score two or more

Team news
Apoel
Carlao, Vinicius and Roberto Lago are fit but Zhivko Milanov is rated doubtful.

Borussia Dortmund
Marcel Schmezler has travelled but Schurrle, Durm, Piszczek, Rode and Guerreiro remain out.

Key stat
Dortmund have scored 29 goals in 12 matches this season.

Leipzig v Porto
Leipzig have failed to light up the Champions League but it is worth backing them to strike it lucky at the third attempt when Porto are the visitors.

Ralf Hassenhuttl’s team have looked nervous on their debut in European football, never mind at Champions League level, and the Red Bull-backed outfit were like rabbits in the headlights during the first half of the 2-0 loss to Besiktas on matchday two.

However, Saturday’s fine 3-2 success away to Borussia Dortmund, arguably the best result in their brief history, should have restored confidence – particularly as it was achieved without Timo Werner and Emil Forsberg.

Both should return to the starting 11 and alongside Naby Keita they have the basis of a side who should be too quick for Porto.

The visitors beat Monaco easily but were themselves well short against Besiktas at home.

Recommendation
RB Leipzig

Team news
RB Leipzig
Timo Werner is back to full fitness but Leipzig have an injury doubt over Stefan Ilsanker.

Porto
Tiquinho Soares did not travel to Germany because of injury.

Key stat
Leipzig have had one goalless draw in their last 99 fixtures.

More Champions League

Real Madrid v Tottenham

Man City v Napoli

Maribor v Liverpool

Feyenoord v Shakhtar
This group always looked tough for Feyenoord and, after defeats to Manchester City and Napoli, Shakhtar Donetsk should complete the set.

Shakhtar are away-day specialists which is no great surprise as they are used to playing on the road with the club unable to use their home in Donetsk after bombings.

They looked a class side when going down 2-0 at City with an excellent first-half performance at the Etihad, while on matchday one Shakhtar were also superb when downing Napoli 2-1.

Slick Shakhtar are full of South American flair in the final third and had won their previous five European away games before the loss to City.

Shakhtar have still picked up victories in eight of their last 11 matches outside Ukraine and Feyenoord don’t look as good as last season with the champions five points off leaders PSV in the Eredivisie.

Recommendation
Shakhtar

Team news
Feyenoord
Jan-Arie van der Heijden is out and Kenneth Vermeer is doubtful.

Shakhtar
Dentinho, Darijo Srna and Maksym Malyshev are unavailable. Sergiy Kryvtsov has travelled despite a knee injury.

Key stat
Shakhtar have lost only one of their last 28 away matches.

Spartak Moscow v Sevilla
This match won’t start until 9.45pm local time and those who do stay up to watch in Russia could be left disappointed by the action served up in Moscow.

Spartak, who are beginning to get key men back from injury, look stronger on paper than on matchday two when the Russian champions were fortunate to draw 1-1 with Liverpool.

Massimo Carrera’s side are nine matches unbeaten in all competitions and can make life tricky for Sevilla, who were beaten 1-0 by Athletic in Bilbao on Saturday.

That was Sevilla’s second defeat of the term, following a 2-0 loss at Atletico Madrid, and they could be vulnerable with Steven N’Zonzi sidelined.

However, Sevilla have kept clean sheets in six of their last nine games and the favourites could be happy to play on the break having already accumulated four points.

Recommendation
Under 2.5 goals

Team news
Spartak Moscow
Ze Luis and Roman Zobnin are out. Artem Rebrov, Georgi Tigiev and Jano Ananidze are unlikely to feature.

Sevilla
Steven N’Zonzi, Nicolas Pareja and Daniel Carrico are out.

Key stat
Both teams have scored in one of Sevilla’s last nine matches.

Monaco v Besiktas
The pressure is on Monaco after a slow start to their Champions League campaign and last season’s semi-finalists may not be able to respond against Besiktas.

Leonardo Jardim’s side has changed plenty since last season with Benjamin Mendy, Bernardo Silva, Kylian Mbappe and Tiemoue Bakayoko among those who are no longer around.

Jardim is still trying to find the right way to play with his new arrivals and could revert to the 4-4-2 formation which has served him well having attempted a 4-2-3-1 in Friday’s 3-2 reverse at Lyon.

That made it three without a win for Monaco, who were soundly beaten 3-0 at home by Porto on matchday two.

Besiktas went to Porto and triumphed 3-1 before following up with a 2-0 success over Leipzig which suggests the Turkish champions are capable of another positive result.

Recommendation
Besiktas or draw double chance

Team news
Monaco
Radamel Falcao and Fabinho return for Monaco, but Stevan Jovetic is unlikely to be fit.

Besiktas
Orkan Cinar is rated doubtful. The players rested by coach Senol Gunes on Friday should return.

Key stat
Monaco have kept one clean sheet in their five home games this season.
