Ashley Young odds-on to gatecrash World Cup squad

England completed their latest round of friendlies with a 1-1 draw against Italy with Dele Alli left on the bench, but the Tottenham midfielder seems certain to figure in Gareth Southgate's World Cup plans.

Gareth Southgate used 16 players in the Wembley draw but Alli did not feature and was limited to a 26-minute cameo off the bench in Friday's win over Holland.
