Aldershot's shots may be too hot for Maidstone

Third-placed Aldershot are the joint-top scorers in the National League with 41 goals in 26 games and they should have too much firepower for mid-table Maidstone, who seem to be dropping out of promotion contention.

The Shots had a sticky start to December with two draws and one defeat, but they got back to winning ways with a convincing 3-1 victory at home to Woking on Tuesday.

Gary Waddock's side remain on course to improve on last season's third place and look solid favourites to topple the Stones, who have slipped from fifth to 12th after no wins in six games.
