Albacete v Mallorca: Segunda Division playoff semi-final betting preview & tip
Entertaining second leg likely with Albacete needing to take risks
6pm Sunday
Albacete's backs are against the wall after a 2-0 loss away to Mallorca in the first leg of their Segunda Division playoff semi-final and they may have to take a few risks in the return match at Estadio Carlos Belmonte.
Ten of Albacete's 21 home league fixtures this season were draws but Luis Ramis's side cannot afford another stalemate and will look to attack from the off.
They can take heart from Mallorca's struggles on the road.
Only four of Mallorca's 19 league victories came on their travels and they lost 2-0 away to Albacete in February.
However, bookmakers don't rate the chances of a similar outcome, making Mallorca 1-10 shots to advance to the final and offering 11-2 about Albacete.
The first leg was largely dominated by Mallorca, who won the shot count 18 to seven, although they had to wait until Dani Rodriguez's 89th-minute strike to secure the two-goal advantage their play deserved.
None of Albacete's goal attempts were on target and Ramis must be pondering changes to give his team extra impetus.
One positive move he could make is to restore attacking midfielder Eugeni, their third-top scorer with eight league goals, to the starting line-up.
Eugeni started eight of the last nine games of the regular season but was benched at Mallorca on Thursday and wasn't brought on until the 86th minute.
Playing Eugeni should boost Albacete's goalscoring options but may leave them more exposed at the back.
Mallorca have scored in 16 of their last 18 matches and can do so again, increasing the chances for punters backing both teams to score at 11-10.
Recommendation
Both teams to score
