Salford City have found life in the National League harder than bookmakers expected when they made them 21-10 ante-post favourites and the big-spending side could have another tough time at AFC Fylde on Tuesday night.

Unbeaten Fylde are flying and are one of five clubs who are just one point behind leaders Wrexham.

The Coasters recorded an excellent 3-1 win at Ebbsfleet on Saturday, their third success in four away games. That contrasts with Salford’s away record of two draws and two defeats.

City’s chances of winning at Dagenham on Saturday took a hit when midfielder Danny Lloyd was sent off in the first half and he is now unable to face his former club.

Ebbsfleet gave a decent account of themselves against Fylde and have a fine chance to bounce straight back by winning at Dover.

The Fleet have done better on the road than at home, winning three away games out of four, while their hosts have already lost three home games and have the worst goal difference in the league.
