Where to watch

Sky Sports Darts, 7pm Monday

Michael van Gerwen v Nathan Aspinall

Best bet

Over 20.5 total 180s
2pts 5-6 general

Nathan Aspinall will be hoping his heavy scoring can pressure favourite Michael van Gerwen and both players love to pepper the treble 20 bed, so put your money on this semi-final to feature 21 or more maximums and watch these two big hitters go.

Van Gerwen's consistency and composure may win him the war, but The Asp -a 5-1 underdog - has knocked in 35 180s so far in the tournament with 11 in his 5-3 win against two-time champion Gary Anderson followed by another 11 in his quarter-final victory over Dimitri Van den Bergh.

Van Gerwen has cruised into the semi-finals without a serious challenge - he appeared bored at times when beating Darius Labanauskas 5-3 in the last round - but looks ready to move through the gears as the level of competition goes up.

Aspinall is capable of bringing the best out of the defending champion and their mutual love of the lipstick should lead to a frenzy of 180s.

Peter Wright v Gerwyn Price

Best bets

Gerwyn Price to win 6-5
1pt 8-1 Sky Bet
Over 9.5 total sets
1pt 11-10 general

Snakebite and the Iceman look well matched in every department and this semi-final could go down to the wire in a titanic tungsten tussle.

There seems to be something about Gerwyn Price at Ally Pally this year, and darts' biggest heel is a 4-6 favourite to reach his first final.

Price hammered Wright 16-6 in the final of the Grand Slam of Darts last month, but the sets format here should keep things tasty and Wright has been looking sharp since overcoming a first-round scare, smashing 41 maximums.
