Match previews

Darius Labanauskas overcame debut nerves to deliver a solid win in round one of the BoyleSports World Grand Prix and the Lithuanian can build on that by ousting Ian White in round two.

Lucky D endured the darter's worst nightmare by failing to get off on his first visit to the board against Brendan Dolan and when he returned to the oche for his second throw his fourth arrow also eluded the outer ring.

You either fold or flourish at that moment and the Lithuanian did the latter. In set three he didn't miss a single double-in as he won all three legs to complete a decent 2-1 win.

Opening-night nerves dispelled, Labanauskas can go from strength to strength and land 13-10 odds against White, a player who is pain-free after surgery but still, it seems, uncomfortable on TV.

In round one White made hard work of pipping Gary Anderson, despite the fact that his close pal offered little resistance against the Englishman, who hit just eight out of 40 darts at a closing double. Labanauskas has nothing to fear.
