Preview

Raymond van Barneveld is back on the big stage in Wolverhampton and can make a mark straight away by eclipsing Dave Chisnall in his Group A opener.

Barney, the Grand Slam champion a decade ago, produced some seriously impressive numbers during qualifying for this event, seeing off Keegan Brown and Mervyn King among others.

The 55-year-old will fancy his chances against anyone and while the mercurial Chizzy can be awesomely good still, he also does throw in his share of howlers.

Barney looks a big price, as does Martin Schindler against Dirk van Duijvenbode, and for similar reasons.

Again, the Titan can be sensational but he can also throw like a drain and if he's one of those moods, Schindler is good enough to nip in.

A World Cup quarter-finalist this year, he saw off Martin Lukeman, Joe Murnan and Mike De Decker last weekend to book his place in Wolverhampton, on the same weekend he reached the last eight and last four of the two Pro Tour events.
