Free darts tips, best bets and analysis for week two in the Premier League darts.
Where to watch
Live on Sky Sports Action from 7pm, Thursday
Fallon Sherrock, the Queen of Alexandra Palace, returns to the darting big time to take on Glen Durrant in the Premier League – and three-time BDO world champ Duzza admits he’s dreading it.
Sherrock is the second of nine guest players appearing over the first nine weeks of the Premier League campaign and while she’ll certainly have the support of a raucous 6,000 crowd at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena, she doesn’t have the backing of the bookmakers.
The layers go a massive 13-2 Sherrock, who is making her first big-stage appearance since she lit up Ally Pally at Christmas, becoming the first female darts player to win a match at the world championship.
This is just Durrant’s second ever Premier League match – he beat Michael Smith 7-3 in Aberdeen on his debut last Thursday – and while the layers reckon he’s a good thing he admits it’s not a challenge he’s looking forward to.
“It’s a draw you dread,” said the Middlesbrough man. “I’ve never played in a game with thousands of people booing me. I’ve no idea how I’m going to react to the crowd. It’ll be a completely new experience.”
Rob Cross v Nathan Aspinall
H2H: Cross leads 3-2
Best bet
N Aspinall

Nathan Aspinall came through a trying Premier League debut last Thursday but with his feet now firmly under the table the reigning UK Open champion can make it two wins out of two in Nottingham.
The Asp endured the panto villain role against hometown hero John Henderson yet it was The Highlander who found the Abderdeen atmosphere too hot to handle and Aspinall cruised to a 7-3 win.
Three days later Aspinall was piling in ton-plus after ton-plus average on his way to glory in Players Championship 2 in Barnsley. It was astounding stuff from a player massively on the up and anything like a repeat of that form would probably be too good for Rob Cross.
These two met twice in 2019 with Aspinall winning both times.
Gerwyn Price v Michael Smith
H2H: Smith leads 14-9
Best bet
G Price

Michael Smith is already under pressure following a no-start against Glen Durrant last week.
He looked seriously out of sorts during his 7-3 loss but that’s Bully Boy, a player who is difficult to trust at the best of times.
Gerwyn Price played well in patches in a 6-6 draw with Rob Cross last Thursday but followed that up with a run to the final of Players Championship 2 on Sunday, which included a 6-5 win against Smith.
Gary Anderson v Peter Wright
H2H: Anderson leads 26-18
Best bet
P Wright

Peter Wright has won the last five showdowns with compatriot Gary Anderson and despite very different starts to their 2020 Premier League campaign, Snakebite looks the bet.
Anderson got his season off to a flier by beating Daryl Gurney last Thursday and then winning the opening Players Championship heat of the year on Saturday.
But just because Wright sits on no points doesn’t mean his star is on the slide. He was pipped by Michael van Gerwen – no disgrace there – and over the weekend, making back-to-back floor quarter-finals, he had five ton-plus averages including an absurd 113 in defeat against Nathan Aspinall.
The world champ is still chucking some wonderful darts and should be trusted here.
Glen Durrant v Fallon Sherrock
H2H: No previous meetings
Best bet
F Sherrock +0.5 180s handicap
1pt 10-11 Betfred
It’s been a mixed few weeks for Fallon Sherrock since those two incredible wins at the world championship.
Four tilts at Q School yielded four early exits and no cigar though she bounced back to earn a qualifying spot at the UK Open.
Now, as the guest player this evening, she’ll have full-on vocal support and Glen Durrant does have a reputation for letting crowds get under his skin.
Duzza will be a top-ten player before long and therefore it’s hard to argue with his match odds.
Sherrock’s problem is the bad visits will be punished and she can be streaky. At Ally Pally, for example, she hit a massive 18 maximums in 65 legs. Durrant hit 19 in 92 and just one in ten legs against Michael Smith last week. At the very least she looks a decent bet at 10-11 not to lose a 180s matchbet.
Michael van Gerwen v Daryl Gurney
H2H: Van Gerwen leads 21-6
Best bet
D Gurney +2.5 legs on handicap
1pt 11-10 Betway
Back this tip with bet365
Michael van Gerwen’s rot-stopper of a triumph over Peter Wright last week has seen normal service resumed in terms of his match odds.
Van Gerwen rounds off the evening as a 2-5 shot against Daryl Gurney, even though Superchin has won four of their last seven meetings including both clashes in last year’s Premier League.
Gurney blows hot and cold but then so does the Green Machine at the moment and the outsider is more than capable of giving him another tough workout.
