Adrian Lewis has branded Gerwyn Price “a big mouth” as they prepare for a toxic heavyweight clash in Blackpool, where Jackpot can gain revenge for last year’s shock exit.

Lewis was beaten by Price in the World Matchplay second round 12 months ago and vowed: “Revenge is in the equation. I’ll be after him, don’t worry about that.”

That lit the blue touch paper on Twitter with Price taking a swipe at Lewis’s physical condition before the two-time world champion barked back: “He’s a big mouth who’s never won anything and never will win anything.”
