Free darts tips, best bets and analysis for Tuesday's PDC Home Tour Group 26

What is the PDC Home Tour?

The PDC announced a new event to keep sport rolling during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Home Tour event starts on Friday, April 17 and will be streamed on bookmaker websites and features a host of big names.

Each session starts at 7.30 and will see four stars do battle in nightly round-robin groups which are played over the best-of-nine legs. The 32 group winners will progress through to the next phase.

Tuesday's PDC Home Tour Group 26 preview

The 101 Tour Card holders who registered for this tournament have all played leaving the remaining groups to be played out by arrowsmiths who previously narrowly missed out on qualification.

Places in Groups 26-32 will be filled by previous runners-up allocated on PDC Order of Merit position with higher-placed players being given the first option. That means in theory the likes of world champion Peter Wright and Gerwyn Price could yet return.

Group 26 sees Conan Whitehead, Steve Brown, Mike De Decker and Martin Atkins back at the oche. It looks set to be close as ever and Brown could be the one to follow.

Brown easily beat Simon Stevenson and Ryan Joyce but was up against it following his loss to Nathan Aspinall. However, this is a drop down in class from world number six Aspinall.

The Bomber competed well against Glen Durrant and Rob Cross earlier this year too and could outperform his odds.

Belgian De Decker looks a vulnerable favourite at 6-4. He and Whitehead won one game each on Group 12 when the withdrawal of Keegan Brown left a three-man section eventually won by Max Hopp.

Steve Brown averaged 87.17, De Decker was 89.38 and Whitehead failed to get to even 83. Atkins actually had the highest group average at 91.31 but is considered the rank outsider which may be a little harsh on a tournament of tight margins.
