Free darts tips, best bets and analysis for Monday's PDC Home Tour Group Four

What is the PDC Home Tour?

The PDC announced a new event to keep sport rolling during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Home Tour event starts on Friday April 17 and will be streamed on bookmaker websites and features a host of big names.

Each session starts at 7.30 and will see four stars do battle in nightly round-robin groups which are played over the best-of-nine legs. The 32 group winners will progress through to the next phase.

Four-time women's world champion Lisa Ashton broke new ground in January as she became the first female darts player to earn a PDC tour card.

The Lancashire Rose has achieved plenty in her illustrious career but has yet to blossom among the sport's elite and is the outsider of Monday's four PDC Home Tour competitors.

Ross Smith, Mickey Mansell and Geert Nentjes are the other three players toeing the oche from 7.30pm and bookmakers are struggling to split them with Smith the narrow favourite.

Smudger boasts a handy 94.20 average in tour events this season but that hasn't always translated into positive results and Mansell's clash with Nentjes at 7.55pm could well decide group honours.

It is a tricky match to call. Mansell has been a rock-steady performer on the PDC circuit for a decade, while emerging Dutch talent Nentjes boasts the greater scoring power.

Nentjes has beaten some top players in floor events this year and could be the man to make it to the knockout stage.
