Free darts tips, best bets and analysis for Sunday's PDC Home Tour Group 31.
What is the PDC Home Tour?
The PDC announced a new event to keep sport rolling during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Home Tour event starts on Friday, April 17 and will be streamed on bookmaker websites and features a host of big names.
Each session starts at 7.30pm and will see four stars do battle in nightly round-robin groups which are played over the best-of-nine legs. The 32 group winners will progress through to the next phase.
That last 32 will be eight groups of four and the eight group winners will then play in two separate sections. The top two in each will provide the four-person Championship group which will determine the overall competition winner.
Sunday's PDC Home Tour Group 31 preview
Gerwyn Price had no answers to a flawless Luke Woodhouse in his first taste of the PDC Home Tour but the fiery Welshman is unlikely to let a second chance of success pass him.
The world number three had to settle for the runner-up spot in last month’s Group 2 following a 5-0 whitewash from an inspired Woodhouse, who exceeded a 113 average and hit a nine darter.
There was little shame in Price’s performance - he averaged 98.41 following convincing 5-2 wins over Rowby-John Rodriguez and Ted Evetts.
The Iceman will be looking to gain compensation against Joe Cullen, Keegan Brown and Bradley Brooks and the bookmakers are justified in making him 4-6 to win Group 31.
Cullen and Brown have proved themselves to be two players capable of moments of brilliance but are inconsistent, while the inexperienced Brooks looks out of his depth.
Those looking for value on the night should back Cullen to outscore his 20-year-old challenger Brooks.
The Rockstar hit ten 180s during his Group 20 experience, firing in four in a 5-4 defeat to Jermaine Wattimena and five in a 5-3 victory over Greek John Michael.
Brooks failed to hit a maximum in two of his three Group 15 games - against Scott Baker and Darren Webster - and could struggle to keep tabs with Cullen's relentless scoring.
