Nathan Aspinall has developed into a top PDC performer and he can show why he is a contender for the Betfred World Matchplay title with a commanding win over Dimitri van den Bergh.

Aspinall is the ninth-best performer on the Pro Tour this term, in terms of three-dart averages, and he showed he can produce those numbers on the big stage when winning the UK Open last year.

Van den Bergh is capable of brilliance but he isn't consistent enough to suggest he will be able to keep the Asp at bay.

Aspinall is available at 10-11 giving Van den Bergh a 2.5-leg start and he looks ready to give the Dream Maker nightmares.

Krzysztof Ratajski has been in superb form on the Pro Tour this term and he continued that with a red-hot performance against Jermaine Wattimena in round one.

The Polish Eagle averaged an astonishing 107.53 against the Dutchman and anything like those numbers should see him come through a comfortable winner against Gabriel Clemens.

Michael Smith looked back to his best against Jonny Clayton in the first round but he may have more on his plate against Mensur Suljovic.

The Gentle knocked in a ton-plus average and a 44 per cent checkout effort in a 12-10 win over Jamie Hughes and those figures suggest the match prices should be closer than they are.
