Adrian Lewis v Dimitri van den Bergh

There's a surprising line-up for the quarter-finals of the Betfred World Matchplay but Adrian Lewis is a proven performer and he looks ready to claim a spot in the last four.

Jackpot averaged 99.81 in a 11-7 win over Danny Noppert in the previous round and that was even more impressive when you consider the Dutchman had been an excellent winner against Gerwyn Price in the previous round.

Prior to that Lewis had performed to a similar level, in terms of three-dart averages, against Steve Beaton so it's not as if that effort was a bolt from the blue.

Clearly, the Stoke arrowsmith is operating below the level of his glory days, which saw him win two PDC World Championships, but there have been positive signs in his recent performances.

Dimitri van den Bergh is a capable performer as he showed when beating Nathan Aspinall and Joe Cullen. However, Dancing Dimitri is likely to need to up the level he showed in that win over Rockstar and that is not a given.

Glen Durrant v Vincent van der Voort

Glen Durrant produced some brilliant darts to beat Jeffrey de Zwaan in his opening Betfred World Matchplay contest and he followed that up with a superb win over Peter Wright to reach this stage.

Duzza averaged an incredible 106.93 against the Black Cobra and although it's difficult to knock an 11-8 win over Snakebite he was rather let off the hook by the world champion.

Wright hit just eight of his 30 attempts at a double against Durrant and while Van der Voort will need to be near his best to trouble the Middlesbrough man, he is unlikely to squander that many opportunities.

The Dutchman has been averaging in the high 90s throughout the tournament and a performance of that standard would give him a strong chance of at least staying within a 3.5-leg handicap.
