Day Four
Sky Sports Arena, 1pm & 7pm Sunday

James Wade and Dave Chisnall join the party at the Palace on Sunday evening but before then there is an afternoon session of William Hill World Championship action to get stuck into.

Kenny Neyens v Jamie Lewis
Head-to-head: No meetings
Youngster Kenny Neyens makes his World Championship debut after winning a Central Europe qualifier in Holland last month and it could be worth chancing the Belgian to upset Jamie Lewis.

Lewis is a relative veteran and will be making his sixth appearance at the PDC showpiece but it has been a pretty barren year for Rasta, and although Lewis has been on the big stage before he has not played on TV since this event last year, so it remains to be seen how much of an advantage that experience will be.

There are plenty of positives to be drawn from Neyens' form this year. The 22-year-old made the final of the BDO's Belgian Open, beating capable operators Jamie Hughes and Wesley Harms during that run, and he looks capable of causing another upset. The winner will face Jonny Clayton.
Recommendation
K Neyens
1pt 5-2 Betfair

Alan Norris v Kim Viljanen
Head-to-head: No meetings
Alan Norris will be eyeing another decent run at Alexandra Palace and he shouldn't have much trouble against Finland's Kim Viljanen. That hasn't been missed by the layers, who make Chuck a 3-10 chance.

That said, Norris does need to be pushed by his opponent to produce his best and isn't one to have maximum faith in. It looks best to keep the powder dry until later in the tournament with Norris.

Kyle Anderson v Peter Jacques
Head-to-head: No meetings
Former postman Peter Jacques makes his Ally Pally debut aged 44 and he could be dispatched with little fuss by Kyle Anderson.

Anderson, a Auckland Masters winner and European Championship semi-finalist this year, is one of the most improved players on tour and is capable of mixing it with the best.

Jacques' TV experience is virtually non-existent and he could find himself out of the contest before he has a chance to settle down on the big stage. Take the Aussie to win without dropping a set.

Recommendation
K Anderson 3-0
1pt 2-1 general

Willard Bruguier v Cody Harris
Head-to-head: No meetings
Willard Bruguier and Cody Harris are making their debuts in a difficult match to call.

Kiwi Harris won the New Zealand qualifiers, and played in the World Cup and Auckland Masters, so has some experience of PDC events, albeit in lower-status competitions.

Bruguier booked his place with a win in the North American qualifiers. Ian White awaits the winner.

James Wade v Keegan Brown

Head-to-head: tied 3-3
This pair have plenty to prove. Multiple major winner Wade has to show he can still compete at the top level, while Brown, the 2014 PDC youth champion, has failed to live up to high expectations.

The Machine has bags of class but the minor European Matchplay is the only trophy he has lifted since March 2015. Even so it's tough to expect Brown to turn things around against a top performer.

It's not hard to see Brown's head dropping if he starts poorly and there has to be a chance of a Wade clean sweep.

Recommendation
J Wade 3-0
1pt 21-10 Betfair

Dave Chisnall v Vincent van der Voort

Head-to-head: Chisnall leads 5-2
There's more than a sniff of an upset in the final game on Sunday night. Enigmatic Dutchman Vincent van der Voort will fancy his chances against Chizzy but the prospect of a shock hasn't escaped the bookmakers' gaze and there looks to be little value in the match prices.

Neither player will hang around and that's good news for punters wanting an early night.
