Headingley, Leeds

Yorkshire host Lancashire in the North Group of the T20 Blast and the Roses rivals arrive at Headingley after thumping wins last time out.

Yorkshire openers Adam Lyth (69) and Tom Kohler-Cadmore (96) set up a matchwinning total of 255-2 on their trip to Leicestershire while Lancashire trounced a decent Durham side by 72 runs at Old Trafford.

Glenn Maxwell's 33-ball 58 was the highlight of Lancashire's innings but Yorkshire, narrow favourites at 10-11, also have a dynamic overseas batsman in the form of West Indies youngster Nicholas Pooran.

The left-hander was promoted to number three after Lyth and Kohler-Cadmore's blistering start at Grace Road and he compounded the hosts' gloom by hitting 67 from 28 balls.

Pooran is clearly full of confidence after finishing as the Windies' leading runscorer at the World Cup and his spectacular batting style – he hit six fours and six sixes against Leicestershire – suggests he could be too big at 14-1 in the man-of-the-match betting.

Recommendation
N Pooran to be man of the match
1pt 14-1 general

Team news
Yorkshire
Fast bowler Matt Fisher is out with a dislocated shoulder and England spinner Adil Rashid is likely to be rested again.

Lancashire
Liam Livingstone and Saqib Mahmood are returning to full fitness but may not be risked at Headingley.

Thursday's T20 Blast South Group games

Middlesex batsmen AB de Villiers and Dawid Malan have steered them to big wins over Essex and Surrey in their first two games of the T20 Blast season and they can make it three in a row against Gloucestershire at Cheltenham.

The visitors' bowling attack looks threatening with fast bowlers Tom Helm and Toby Roland-Jones in great nick while spinners Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Nathan Sowter pose a real threat in Twenty20 cricket.

Surrey were well beaten by Middlesex at The Oval on Tuesday but are 8-15 to bounce back against a Glamorgan side who lost to Somerset by eight wickets and were 96-8 when the rain came against Gloucestershire.

Recommendation
Middlesex
3pts 4-6 Hills
