Day three
Sky Sports Cricket, 2pm Saturday

England are 1-8 to win their first Test against the West Indies after further cementing their superiority on Friday at Edgbaston.

Alastair Cook's near ten-hour vigil for 243 helped Joe Root declare on an imposing total of 514-8, before James Anderson removed Kraigg Brathwaite in the third over.

Kieran Powell and Kyle Hope steadied the ship before rain cut short the day with 26 overs still to be bowled. The Windies will resume on Saturday on 44-1.

Rain shouldn't be a factor on day three with sunny intervals forecast throughout. With that in mind, England will be looking to oust the inexperienced tourists early and with Anderson and Broad performing in unison, the Windies may struggle to meet the follow-on target.

Bet365 go under 210 and over 280 in their three-way first-innings total line, but backing the middle ground of between 210 and 280 inclusive could be the way to go.

The first two days have shown that the pink ball becomes easier to bat against after the first 20 overs and on a flat Edgbaston pitch, the tourists must cash in if they are to make a fist of staving off defeat.
